UV-absorbing filters built directly into the raw material provide the sensitive retina with 100% protection against damaging UV rays up to 400nm. All lenses give 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection. This also forms the basis of Uvex brand – UV-EX = uitraviolet excluded.

Curve 10 – Extra wide view and protection field
The curve 10 lens opens up a spectacular, wide field of vision to the wearer. As well as a great fit, the highly curved frame raises safety and comfort levels. It increases protection from flying particles or uncomfortable drafts and prevents eyelashes brushing against the lens.
Variomatic – Automatic lens tinting
Variomatic lens technology enables photochromic lenses to automatically react to the prevailing light conditions. This provides automatic, seamless lens adjustment from light to dark and vice versa.
Polavision – Better perception
Reliable protection against reflections and glare. Lenses in the Polavision range absorb diffuse light to reliably protect the eyes from strain. The lenses eliminate distracting reflections and transform glare into pleasant light.
Supravision – Ultimate anti-fog coating
A special surface treatment ensures fog-free vision without altering the optical quality of the lens.

Mirrored lenses do not only look trendy – they work hard too! Mirrored lenses offer extra protection from infrared rays, reflecting them and keeping them away from sensitive eyes.

Safety tested
Uvex eyewear undergoes special tests in the specialised Uvex tesing center. Uvex can fully guarantee quality tested safety and function. Testing generates new insights and data which help in the development of the next generation of innovative technologies.
Break Resistant – impact 162km/h
Uvex eyewear is tested in accordance with standard EN ISO 12312-1:2013. This includes a demanding impact test. A 6mm steel ball, weighing 0.86g is fired at the lens at a speed of 45m/s (162km/h). Mechanical strength is assured and your eyes are safe!
Robust and scratch-proof
Lenses are made from durable polycarbonate, which maintains its mechanical strength down to temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius. A specialised coating protects the lenses from damage and is scratch resistant (excludes mirror lenses) without impairing optical clarity in accordance with standard EN ISO 12312-1.
