Marketing Assistant
Relevant marketing qualification required and previous experience in a similar role. Equestrian knowledge preferred.
Western Shoppe’s Marketing Department is looking for an upbeat, tech savvy and performance driven individual to join the team as a Marketing Assistant. The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Paulshof (Johannesburg) and can look forward to a diverse workday in an interactive, equestrian focused environment.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Support and execution of strategy and campaigns (all channels including stores, events and social media)
- Key brands support
- Digital support including social media, email marketing and SEO
- Content creation and preparation – copywriting, creative coordination and proof reading
- Ambassadors – stock management and content creation
- Events – bookings, site setup and inspections, field support
- Performance monitoring and report preparation
- Bookings and supplier management
- Internal department support
- General administrative assistance
Requirements:
- Matric and relevant marketing qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role (does not need to be in equestrian industry, but retail beneficial)
- Equestrian knowledge will be preferred
- Excellent communications skills, must be fully fluent in written and spoken English
- Confident and mature personality with a go-getter attitude
- A natural feel for ‘tech’ and experienced with Microsoft Office, all social media platforms and Google Analytics. Advantageous: Mailchimp, WordPress, Office 365 Toolkit
- Drivers License and own reliable transport is essential
