Description
The Sprenger HS Weymouth bit with stainless steel cheek pieces features a slight port that offers space for the tongue without hitting the horse’s sensitive palate. The mouthpiece is made of Aurigan – a specialised metal that produce a distinctive and pleasant taste that horses love. It encourages horses to chew and promotes a wet mouth which allows the rapid acceptance of the bit. The bit cheeks are made of stainless steel for durability and the bit is fitted with a KD curb chain. With a conventional curb chain, the curb bit moves slightly to the right as the chain is not balanced. This could cause mouth and tongue problems. The right curb hook usually moves inwards to the cheek corner with the potential to pinch the horse. The KD curb chain helps to prevent mouth and tongue vices. It reduces the habit of sticking out the tongue and protects against pinching. The KD curb chain assists contact to the bit, suppleness and the horse’s chewing activity. It helps to give an even and well-balanced distribution of pressure on the tongue. Sizes: 5′ and 5.5′.
