Honeyvale Herb Fenu’shine

Fenu’shine increases weight, enriches your horse’s coat with a deep and lustrous sheen and encourages dappling – an obvious sign of good health and vitality. It also strengthens and stimulates healthy hoof growth. The products contains: Fenugreek seed, Garlic, Deep Sea Kelp, Rosehips and Nettle.
Fenugreek seed is a rich natural source of Vitamin E, a great natural appetite stimulant and a good weight conditioner. It is also very demulcent (relieves inflammation and irritation) which encourages the healing and prevention of gastric ulcers, especially important for horses fed high grain diets and those stabled in a busy and competitive yard.
Garlic, a powerhouse among herbs, is anti-viral, antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-septic, anthelmintic (destroys parasitic worms), an expectorant and anti-diabetic. This makes it an excellent ingredient to include for the support of the horse’s immune system. * Note: It is important to feed the recommended dosage and give an occasional break in supplementation, as excessive garlic fed over prolonged periods may cause Heinz body anaemia.
Kelp is anti-rheumatic, stimulates the thyroid gland, cleanses the blood, and contains a wide variety of minerals, vitamins and amino-acids, all of which help to encourage good health, including strong and healthy hoof growth and luxurious coats.
Rosehips are a rich natural source of Vitamin C, copper and many other nutrients, all of which help to encourage strong and healthy hoof and coat growth. When fed at the recommended dosage Rosehips are also excellent for anti-scouring.
Nettle is a rich natural source of bio-available iron and Vitamin C, making it very valuable for treating anaemia. This herb is also a potent blood cleanser and diuretic, improves circulation and is a mild anti-inflammatory. In addition Nettles have a dramatic effect in improving hoof and coat condition, often producing a rich dappling effect under a gleaming coat.

Fenu’shine promises to “Enrich coats with a deep and lustrous gloss”. Well, it really delivers! I have been using the product for some years with fantastic results. Scrawny, dull and rough coated horses have blossomed before my eyes and a few of them have a scattering of lovely dapples that were never there before! When one opens the tub you can immediately smell the ingredients, and see each ingredient listed and nothing else. I stopped using it for a few months and quickly regretted it!!
