Terms & Conditions
- Only Wintec, Tekna, LeTek, Arena, Ikonic and Bates saddles may be traded in – any condition.
- The Wintec Kids GP and Wintec Training Saddles are excluded.
- Saddles need to be complete with all major components to make a useable saddle e.g. tree, seat, panels, flaps, girth billets etc.
- Trade-in amounts published in advertising are shown including VAT. These values will be shown as deductions on the customer’s invoice on a TRADE code line item with excl. VAT and Total columns.
- Customers must complete and sign the Saddle Details Form and provide a copy of their RSA ID or Passport (if not a South African Citizen).
- Standard saddle fitting fees will apply to saddle fitting appointments relating to a trade-in. Contact your Western Shoppe Saddle Fitter or Branch for fees applicable to your region (fees may vary due to travel requirements).
- Buy-Now-Pay-Later services such as PayJustNow and MobiCred are not available for use on trade-in purchases.
- No “on account” transactions are permitted for trade-in purchases.
- Trade-in’s are a “saddle for saddle” arrangement. One trade-in saddle accepted = one saddle purchase, there is no bundle
arrangement. - Trade-in’s cannot be carried out on our website, however our Customer Service team can provide remote assistance for our outlying client base. Please email Customer Service at haythere@westernshoppe.com for assistance. All Western Shoppe branches are available for in-store and in-field assistance (via a Western Shoppe Saddle Fitter), as well as remote assistance for outlying clients.
- A 10% handling fee will be charged for any Returns. Traded in saddles are held for a period of 7 days in the case of a change-of-mind.

What saddles can I trade in?
Any model and any condition Wintec, Tekna, Letek, Ikonic, Arena and Bates saddle – excluding the Wintec Kids GP and Wintec Exercise Saddle.
Saddles need to be complete with all major components to make a useable saddle e.g. tree, seat, panels, flaps, girth billets etc.
Does the age of the my trade-in saddle matter?
Age doesn’t matter! We’ll accept any model and any condition Wintec, Tekna, Letek, Ikonic, Arena and Bates saddle. Only the Wintec Kids GP and Wintec Exercise Saddles are excluded from the trade-in programme.

Do I need a receipt or proof of purchase of my saddle that I’m trading in?
No. The only requirement is that it is not stolen item. Trade-in clients will be required to complete a set of documents and present a valid identity document for photocopy, to be kept on record.
Can I trade in a saddle even if I didn't buy it from Western Shoppe?
Yes, as our brands are distributed through other resellers too. The only requirement is that is must be a Wintec, Tekna, Letek, Ikonic, Arena or Bates saddle (excluding the Wintec Kids GP and Wintec Exercise Saddle).
Can I purchase any saddle through the Trade-In Programme?
No, the Trade-In Programme has a published list of new saddles available for purchase through a trade-in.
Is the trade-in value applied only to new saddles, or can it be used for other products?
The trade-in is only applied to the published list of new saddle models and not other products at Western Shoppe.
Is the Trade-In Programme available online, or is it only available in-store at a Western Shoppe branch?
Trade-in’s cannot be carried out on our website, however our Customer Service team can carry out manually assisted trade-in’s for our outlying client base. Please email Customer Service for assistance.
