This versatile rug utilizes water activated conduction technology to draw heat away from your horse’s body, promoting optimal comfort and cooling during warmer weather.
Produced from a high tech, breathable open cell structed material, which is designed to effectively absorb and store water. Chosen for its ability to retain water, this material also allows the water molecules to move through the fabric easily.
Submerge the Equilibrium Quick Chill Cool Rug in a bucket of water until it is fully saturated and then wring it out.
In cases where you have limited access to water, you can activate the rug prior and place it into a plastic bag for when needed later that day.
Take care in humid climates as humidity will affect the evaporation speed from the rug.
Your horse’s temperature will be warmer than the rug, so the thermal energy will move via conduction from the hottest place(horse) to the cooler place(rug) and equalise temperatures.
Water from the rug will also evaporate into the atmosphere to further aid cooling, the same effect as your horse sweating to cool themselves down.
Cooling area of the rug is contoured and shaped so that it covers the large muscle groups across the back and hindquarters with direct contact.
