Description
The Sprenger Sensogan Bemelmans weymouth is manufactured from the newly developed SENSOGAN® material exclusively available from Sprenger Germany.
The new bit material developed by Sprenger is the result of additional development and consequent improvement of their original bit material – Aurigan. It is the distinctive composition of copper, manganese and zinc that makes SENSOGAN® so special. With a reduced copper content the oxidation process is still maintained, however, the newly developed combination with manganese is what makes the difference. This combination results in a smoother and more regulated process of oxidation.
Tests show a very positive influence on the horse’s satisfaction, motivation and willingness to perform. The copper discharge quantity into the horse’s saliva is reduced considerably, which helps to preserve the bit’s white gold colour for a longer period of time.
This weymouth has a 16mm thick mouthpiece and a 7cm long shank. The mouthpiece is tapered toward the middle of the bit and together with the arched shape of the mouthpiece provides a soft, even distribution of pressure across the horse’s entire tongue. This enables soft and effective communication between horse and rider which results in a relaxed and contented horse.
Used for high level dressage work in conjunction with a bridoon bit the curb rein applies poll pressure to tilt the angle of the nose in towards the chest.
Curb chain included.
