Walvis Bay Success for the 2016 RSA Ladies Lightweight Endurance
A team of five ladies and their noble steeds set off on the ultimate challenge through the dunes of the
Namib Desert on 24 August 2016. The annual Walvis Bay ride brings a unique and extreme riding environment,
but the 2016 LIghtweight Ladies Endurance Team, riding a total distance of 122km, came home victorious. For
the first time in history the South African Lightweight Ladies Team demolished the dunes and beat the reigning
Namibian team!
